This is one of the biggest influences with your marquee size needs. The bigger the table and the bigger the number, the more space you will require. We always recommend using tables seating 10 as this works out to the best use of space whereas tables of 8 need more tables while tables of 11 or 12 require larger tables and more marquee space.
